Over the years, Janet has had dozens of articles published in magazines such as “For Me”, “Caravan and Motorhome”, “New Idea”, “Horses and People”, “Christian Woman”, “Grass Roots”, “Writing Australia”, “Signs of the Times”, and “Gold Coast Weddings”, as well as online.
Janet is the author of two non-fiction books aimed at the Christian market, and her work has appeared in a number of anthologies, including several volumes of the popular inspirational series, “Australian Stories”.
In addition to writing for publication, Janet Camilleri held the position of Editor at Footprints magazine for 15 years.
Her role included conducting interviews; planning content, and writing and assigning articles; training writers; marketing; designing layouts; proofreading and editing; and wooing advertisers, to produce a quarterly print magazine, monthly ezine, and blog.
From 2006 until 2012, she worked in local government producing regular newsletters for the community sector, eg for the local Disability Network and Creative Alliance.
Janet Camilleri is a full member of the Society of Editors (Qld) Inc.
Initially trained as a primary school teacher, Janet has gone on to become a skilled workshop presenter and professional speaker, particularly for social media, writing or faith-related topics.
